Evaluation: You should be evaluated by a psychiatrist. Onset of schizophrenia is usually between ages 16-30. Early signs can be social isolation, deterioration in hygiene, paranoia, hallucinations, making irrational or odd statements, feel emotionless or unmotivated, may abandon hobbies and activities and performance at work deteriorates.

Schizophrenia: Firstly, do not diagnose yourself. Get a full psychiatric evaluation and inquire about medication options to control hallucinations and other symptoms. Also get a referral to a reputable psychotherapist who specializes in psychotic disorders. DO IT TODAY.

See Psychiatrist: If you think you may have any symptoms of schizophrenia, or for that matter, any psychiatric illness, ask your family doctor for the name on an excellent psychiatrist near you, and make an appointment. Psychiatric diagnoses are sometimes very difficult to make accurately, and the treatment of schizophrenia can be complicated, but very effective. Call tomorrow. I wish you the best!
