A member asked:

Is it possible that adult with aspergers have "flare-ups" of odd behavior?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Everybody has that: We all have times in which we're not ourselves. Aspies misunderstand situations -- or have a strong sense of right and wrong and forget how to be diplomats -- and can get very upset over things. Or the real diagnosis may be schizophrenia, which tends to have acute exacerbations not triggered by real-life events. Sorting it out is the psychiatrist's task. Good luck.
