What's your question: Check out http://www.Mayoclinic.Com/health/hypothyroidism/ds00353/dsection=symptoms for symptoms of (inadequately treated) hypothyroidism. If you still feel like you're not quite yourself despite taking levothyroxine, ask your prescribing doctor to check your tsh. Recent study http://jcem.Endojournals.Org/content/98/5/1982.Abstract suggests dessicated thyroid extract may be relevant in some patien.

Hypothyroidism: Swelling of face arm and legs may be due to myxedema or hypothyroidism of long standing which has gone untreated. Swelling of the skin can ensue and may eventually lead to a comatose which can be fatal.
