Breakthrough bleed: Not all bleeding is a period. This could just be some break through bleeding. But since you're not on birth control, i would advise you to consider checking a pregnancy test. You are also at the age where you may start showing signs of uterine fibroids or endometriosis. So, if this happen more frequently, i would see a gyn.
