Well.....: Eyes change throughout life. Your genetics play a role in your spectacle needs. If you have the "right" genetics, you may be able to be relatively spectacle free most of your life. However, the changes in the corneal elasticity, accommodation, cataract formation, and diseases of the retina, optic nerve, blood vessels and macula may change your visual function. Glasses are one of th tools to help.
