Location dependent: Dependent on the location of the stone. Stone inside the kidney are usually asymptomatic unless they move. In the proximal ureter the usually case back/flank pain and the stone moves done the ureter the pain may become more abdominal and refer to the groin as it gets closer to the bladder.
