What is a good means of determining if i have a cold or hayfever?

Itchiness, fever etc: Both colds and allergies cause runny nose and sneezing. Allergies also cause itchy eyes, nose, or ears; they do not cause fever. Your throat may be slightly itchy or irritated with allergies, but will not be painful to swallow like with a cold.
