When to get checked: A nose wound that is non-healing is considered cancer until the biopsy proves otherwise. Okay to go to dermatologist for this wound, and biopsy. Don't delay. The sun exposure to the nose is a risk factor.

Local hygiene: Soap water. Antibiotic ointment. If not healed in a couple of weeks, then bx it.To rule out cancer.
