How long's been on?: If you have a ring that's been on for ten years, and your knuckle/bone has enlarged to the point that your ring won't come off, unfortunately cutting the ring off is your only choice. If you have new swelling or fullness and have been able to remove the ring within the last month or so, try cool water and dish soap. Rub your moistened finger with a thin layer of soap, and twist to help it off!
