Depends on the drug: Read the prescription that should be on the prescription bottle. Many times, it will tell you to take it 3 times a day, etc. If this is the case, take on in the morning when you get up, one at lunch time, and one before bed. There is no absolute hour of the day that a drug must be taken. It's all about having the proper concentration of drug in your system.

Prescription label: The directions will be on the label- along with any precautions or other specific notations. It's rare, if ever, that specific. You can space it out depending upon the hours that you are awake. It's more important that you don't skip taking it and finish the prescription. If you have any questions call your pharmacist or prescribing doctor.
