Normal: Brown gooey discharge is normal. Brown discharge is typically old blood. Being on the birth control can change your bleeding pattern. If you haven't been on the birth control for more than 3-4 months, it can take awhile for your body to adjust to the hormones, and for the period to become regular and predictable.
