A member asked:

Is the cardiac catheterization a risky thing to do?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Some risk...: The procedure involves threading a catheter through your artery, often from the groin area up to the heart and inside it. It is an invasive procedure and this infections, bleeding, cardiac arrythmia risks etc....Also, this process also uses some dye, thus can cause some kidneys trouble, or even an allergic reaction etc.... Fortunately, this is done commonly and risks are low... Good luck.
