Yes, if mild: Mild head trauma/injuries often heal well without problems provided proper care/treatment done promptly. Severe traumatic brain injuries often cause long lasting problems..Headaches, memory problems, psychiatric symptoms, etc..Which may lead to significant disabilities. Thus, it is so important to avoid/prevent traumatic head injuries!

Results vary: The brain and what it does is remarkable complex. Many mild injuries seem to resolve with little measurable effect even with sensitive neuropsychological measures - other more severe injuries usually show some improvement but will leave permanent impact. Head injuries are sometimes referred to as the hidden disability - careful and competent neurological and neuropsychological evals often tell.
