See your doctor: It may be a sign of either a uterine abnormality causing prolonged bleeding, or an ovarian dysfunction with hormonal irregularities. It may be something simple such as an ovarian cyst causing pain from the size of the mass or endometriosis (both are common and benign), but it may also not be benign -- go see your gynecologist!
