Took a hpt and it said a light negative but an even lighter positive kinda faded on it ... took two both the same results... what is this?

Could be equivocal: If you are late and did not have your menses yet, it is possible that you may have a very early pregnancy. I would save the money (home pregnancy tests are not really cheap) and wait until you are about 2 weeks late (assuming you have regular menses) before doing the test. Good luck!
