Ibuprofen & Stomach: Yes. Of course. Ibuprofen and all drugs like it are very harsh on the lining of the gut and very hard on one's kidneys. The marvels of knee surgeries and knee specialists now a days often can help a patient live pain free. I would recommend a complete and full evaluation with an expert in this field. One can die from complications of too much pain medication and bleeding ulcers and such.

Very likely: I am assuming that you are talking about ibuprofen. Yes one of the main side effects of this medication is stomach discomfort. He should be very careful as too much of this medication can cause stomach bleeding. It can also affect the kidneys. I understand the difficulties that being without insurance presents but being evaluated and receiving the appropriate treatment is most important.
