Ibuprofen & Stomach: Yes. Of course. Ibuprofen and all drugs like it are very harsh on the lining of the gut and very hard on one's kidneys. One can die from complications of too much pain medication and bleeding ulcers and such.

Very likely: I am assuming that you are talking about ibuprofen. Yes one of the main side effects of this medication is stomach discomfort. He should be very careful as too much of this medication can cause stomach bleeding. It can also affect the kidneys. I understand the difficulties that being without insurance presents but being evaluated and receiving the appropriate treatment is most important.
