Sometimes very hard: A panic attack looks a lot like a heart attack...They are quite difficult to tell apart. Thus, if you have symptoms of a heart attack, even if it ends up being a panic attack, you should not hesitate seeing a doctor or calling 911. Heart attack symptoms can be chest pain, trouble breathing, dizziness. These can be the exact same symptoms of a panic attack.
