No: Symbicort (budesonide and formoterol) cannot be used more than 2 puffs twice a day, it comes in 2 different strengths 80/4.5 and 160/4.5mcg. You cannot double the 80 to get to the 160, as you are also doubling the second ingredient formeterol. This is not safe. You need to talk to your doctor asap to discuss your symptoms.
