See A Surgeon: Gallbladder disease is one of the most common ailments that general surgeons treat--it can be effectively cured by a simple outpatient operation. The most critical step is to be certain that your pain is due to your gallbladder. This disease is rarely deadly but complications can arise if it is left untreated--it's best to seek out surgical consultation sooner-than-later.

Not sure: If your gallbladder is causing problems, you should get it taken care of. Surgery is really the only effective treatment. Ask your doctor to recommend one or find a general surgeon in your neighborhood.

What are the: Gallbladder issues? Gallstones or not? Not likely life threatening, especially if there are no gallstones. Follow up with your doctor who diagnosed the "issues" to see what you should do next.

Second opinion: Gallbladder problems are usually not life threatening, unless there is a severe associated infection. You don't say what tests were done and what your symptoms you are having. Also if there are any risk factors to doing surgery (mainly pregnancy at your age). Get a second opinion from another surgeon.
