Time & Technique: If you did the test correctly, twelve days after your period was due, and the test was negative, you are not likely to be pregnant. You may wish to see your doctor for a blood test and/or ultrasound examination.

See a doctor: If pregnancy is negative, you need to look at other causes, such as thyroid problem. You should see your doctor to do a complete exam and he/she can run blood test to find out the cause.
