Fertility: If you want a baby & the responsibilities that entails, continue your "pull-out" method; eventually, it will fail & you'll get pregnant. If, however, you're not ready for pregnancy, use condom, birth control, iud, or other contraceptive method.

It can be effective: Although many people joke about the withdrawl method being ineffective, according to findings in 2009 from the guttmacher institute, withdrawl is almost as effective as condoms. With perfect use, 4% of women will become pregnant in a year; and with typical use, 18%. Not the best method, but not "very ineffective.".
