If a 22 year old person were to have a stroke there would likely be some other important contributing factor such as a weakness of a blood vessel in the brain (an aneurysm). High blood pressure increases the risk of stroke. When detected a concerted effort should be made to determine the cause and to return blood pressure to the normal range.
