Nail bruised?: If the nail is black and blue, it means you have a bruise/blood collection under the nail. Piercing the nail will allow the blood to evacuate, and will relieve the pressure. However, you should see your doctor, as he can anesthetize your finger first if it is needed. If the finger is broken, you should be seen as well.
