Tonsil calculus: From what you describe, it sounds like you might be having tonsil stones or tonsil calculus. It is also possible that you might be having tonsillitis with active pus, but when there are "holes" left behind, it sure sounds like a tonsil stone. They occur in the crypts or pits in the tonsils. Try gargling frequently. If associated sore throat or pain, you should have an ENT doctor look and help.
