Fluid: Blunting of the costophrenic angle indicates fluid in the lung space. This could be from an infection, or more typically, congestive heart failure. You need to be seen as soon as possible.

Many: Blunting of the costophrenic angles is usually suggestive of fluid in the pleural space. Fluid build up can occur with infections including TB along with many other infectious causes, malignancy and heart failure. You should discuss this with your doctor.
