Family practice : It could be a bad bruise or hematoma. The swelling could be irritating the sciatic nerve distribution. Give it some time for healing.

Probably a bruise: Could be nerve irritation due to the bleeding . Also could be a bone bruise. Should resolve in10 days or less.
