Zoloft (sertraline) & Asthma: Zoloft (sertraline) does not commonly cause respiratory effects, but it's possible. In pre-marketing studies, .1 to 1% of patients experienced cough, dyspnea, upper respiratory tract infection, bronchospasm, etc. I suggest calling your doctor about this -- and also stopping smoking completely. Smoking can aggravate any tendencies to asthma. Your asthma meds may need adjusting too.
