Your friend has: Irregular heart rhythm likely from atrial fibrillation. I'd suggest he sees his dr for a comprehensive exam to include blood and urine test, ekg, ultrasound of the heart / echo, carotid artery & possibly a stress test to check for coronary artery disease. He needs to attain ideal body weight , to eat healthy, and exercise regularly. God bless you both!
