A member asked:

Does malaria occur throughout the whole of africa?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: According to the center of disease control and prevention (cdc), malaria is not common in all countries in africa. Malaria is present in the majority of countries that make up the portion considered sub-saharan, but there are a couple countries like south Africa where it is typically not found. The CDC has a nice world MAP showing the distribution of malaria: http://cdc-malaria.Ncsa.Uiuc.Edu/.
