Ovulation breast: At the time of ovulation there is a surge in luteinizing hormone, commonly known as lh surge. Associated with this is an increase in production of progesterone, one of the two main hormones made by your ovary. Progesterone is thermogenic usually at higher levels than during your cycle but with breast tenderness which is not uncommon the sensation of warmth is possible.
