A member asked:

I started my second pack on the first day of period, does that mean im protected even if i had unprotectd sex couple of times that month?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unrelated...: The time at which a woman begins her second pack of birth control pills (some time after finishing the first 3 weeks of the first pack) has no influence on whether or not she was protected against pregnancy during the 3 weeks that she was on her first pack of pills. In other words, what she does the second month cannot change (has no effect on) what already happened to her during her first month.
