A member asked:

What is an ovarian cyst? and how is treatment? is any medication for that?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No medication for it: A cyst is a fluid filled cavity. They are common due to monthly ovulation which leaves a small cavity on the ovary. This often fills up with fluid but it is small in size(<2-3cm). Some cysts continue to enlarge(>5-6cm() . Then they have to be removed surgically in order to exclude ovarian cancer which often shows up as a complex cyst but it is usually much larger and continues to increase in size.
