i have sickle cell anemia and hair will fall out then grow back. is this a common symptom, and if it is, what can i do to stop it?

Not usually: Some medications used in sickle cell anemia, like Exjade for iron overload chelation, and Hydroxyurea used to minimize painful crises can cause hair loss.
