A member asked:

I have been regular all my life with my menstrual period. i am 49 and it stopped suddenly. is menopause that sudden? what i should expect now?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Expect "changes": The changes in your body which happen with menopause are very individual. It is more common to have irregular bleeding with missing a month or two then starting again. You may still have more periods too. Hot flashes , mood changes, etc may or may not affect you. Every woman is a bit unique after all!
