Every other day: With a 28 day cycle, the best way to conceive is to have intercourse every other day starting on day 9 or 10 through day 19 or 20. (day one is the first day of bleeding on your period). This allows the male to keep a healthy sperm count while having the best chance that live, motile sperm will be there when the egg is released or shortly after.

Day 12 or 13: Having a normal 28 day cycle means you probably ovulate approximately on day 13, 14 or 15. Starting intercourse on day 12 and every other day for approximately three times should cover ovulation.
