Tincture of time: The technical name is "telogen effluvium", and it's common, especially after surgery. I understand it's probably freaking you out, but the hair will grow back. There's nothing to do but wait, and maintain a good diet. The low vitamin d level is not related, and applying vitamin d cream will not help.
