Yes: Azithromycin is commonly used, even during pregnancy, for sinusitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, as well as other indications, and is the drug of choice for chlamydia. Because of it's once daily dosing, patient compliance is much better. Another benefit is that vaginal yeast infections are far less common after a z-pack than after a course of a penicillin or a cephalosporin.
