Gas: Most air in your stomach comes from being swallowed. Some people swallow air without being aware of it; sometimes it happens if you chew gum or do a lot of talking while eating. Carbonated beverages can contribute. If the gas is more in your colon then it could be produced from bacteria in your gut. Roughage can contribute to gas production depending on the source.
