Fluids: We can't treat GI viruses. But we can wait them out. Your doctor may prescribe ondansetron to control vomiting. Hydration is important to replace losses from diarrhea, but avoid sugary drinks like soda or juices. Even gatorade may be too high in sugar. Eating easily digestible foods in small amounts (no fuits!) and drinking water or broth is ok. Even milk may be ok in most cases!
