What is the recovery time after surgery for meniscus tear?

Repair vs removal: This procedure is completed arthroscopically. You may have a meniscus repair or a partial menisectomy (removal). The repair is ideal, if possible, for preventing arthritic changes, but requires a longer recovery time. In either case recovery is relatively quick; you may start ambulating as tolerated post-op with a debridement. Post-op rehab will concentrate on motion, & quad strength.
