What to expect after 6 months after cross linking (cxl) for keratoconus?

Fluctuation: Vision will be fluctuating in the first 3 months after the procedure has been performed. Results vary for after 6 months, since it is still under trial. It is expected to help strengthen the cornea and improve vision.

CXL for keratoconus: Crosslinking is a very effective treatment for keratoconus. Over the first 6 months, there is some improvement in vision and corneal shape. The improvements often continue over a few years - so the vision can improve beyond the 6 months results. I highly recommend epithelial- on (no epithelial-removal) crosslinking - as the visual recovery is much faster.
