Bartholin Gland: This sounds like a Bartholin's gland cyst that ruptured. The Bartholin's gland is a gland in the lower part of vagina on both sides. Sometimes the gland's duct gets clogged and a small cyst/abscess can form behind. When it ruptures it can have yellowish/greenish/whitish discharge and smell. Warm bath soaks and massaging area can help. Hopefully it resolves and doesn't come back!
