Yes: Ciprofloxacin 500mg can be used as a single dose regimen for the treatment of uncomplicated gonococcal infections. The bacteria however have been becoming more resistant to previously used antibiotics. Be sure to take your medication as prescribed and follow-up as indicated. If your infection is not resolved, you may need a medication change.
