Friend w/issues?: Flaccid penis length is a poor predictor of erect (something about "showers" and "growers"), average male penis length is 5.1-5.9 inches per wikipedia, so you have nothing to worry about, and if friend is reporting much more than you, might need vision or ruler checked.
