A member asked:

I experience tightenness in my chest and nausea when exposed to peanuts (airborne, not ingestion). is this severe enough to constitute a peanut allerg?

Peanut reaction: Get the guess out of the game and get tested. Allergic reactions occur upon contact and or ingestion. Your symptoms are unusual. See an allergist and determine if you are allergic or not.

Absolutely!: Sensitivity to airborn peanut allergen is a red flag. Your symptoms are classic. I recommend carrying epinephrine (you can obtain from your primary doctor at the time of scheduling Allergy referral). <a href="<a href="http://www.foodallergy.org/treating-an-allergic-reaction/epinephrine"" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">http://www.foodallergy.org/treating-an-allergic-reaction/epinephrine"</a>; r
