Will predisone for a few days break a 2 week long migraine? i can't use most other migraine drugs and am desperate. saw neuro, nothing serious wrong.

Hard to tell: Have you asked the neurologist? Since he knows you better than us, i will ask him first. I don't think few days of Prednisone will cause any harm, but it's hard to predict the benefits and side effects. For chronic migraine i maintain them on very low dose of amytriptyline and inderal (propranolol). Better discuss with your doctors who know your history better.

It could work: Sometimes Prednisone can be used to break migraine cycles. I am glad that you saw neurology for reassurance as migraine is one of the more common reasons for headache. As long as you have normal kidney function sometimes magnesium can be used as well to help that a lot of people tend to forget about.
