How fast can i make my paronychia go away?

Paronychia: A paronychia is an infection, an abscess, in the skin of the nail fold on the side of your finger nail. The fastest way to get it to heal is to have it drained. Usually you would want a doctor to do this with a sterile scalpel, but I have known people with some medical training who have done this for themselves at home. Just taking antibiotics without draining it is not enough. Warm soaks help.
