Rarely: If the diagnosis is correct and you have crohn's disease, the symptoms will not go away without treatment. With treatment your response may vary as no 2 patients behave exactly the same. However, given the proper therapy, you should seeimprovement over a 2-3 week period. If not you may require more aggressive therapy and possible hospitalization/surgery.
