Can having braces cause stomach discomfort?

Possibly: If your orthodontic treatment has caused a significant change in your diet, the change in the type as well as amount of foods you are now eating could possibly contribute to stomach issues.

Possibly: If your diet has changed it may affect your GI tract. If you are not chewing food well, if you are now eating foods to which you have an intolerance, if you have altered the time of day you are eating meals, anything is possible. Eat a soft high protein diet, eat at regular intervals, and you should be ok.
