Possible: Are you sexually active? Did you have unprotected sex after the start of your period? If you miss your next period by 4-5 days, it would be time to do a home pregnancy test. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions in the package carefully.

Unlikely: Oftentimes during one's menstrual history there will be unscheduled bleeding. This could be related to pregnancy, but frequently it's associated with stress, hormone usage (the pill, for ex.), or such conditions as thyroid disease. A pregnancy test is a wise idea if you are late with your cycle and are concerned. Good luck.
